I have a friend called
Autumn, 2 friends actually, what a wonderful name, don’t you think!
And in other news:
Ginkgo Biloba trees
are losing their leaves- I will endeavour to collect them up, before it is tooo
late. Acorns hats litter the ground and a sparkly cool undertone to the days
freshens my energy.
This is the season for walks, which we did today, up the
long drive to a field, where chestnuts have fallen, hidden in their spiky cocoons.
We have missed out, on a bountiful nut harvest, being second to arrive, behind birds, mice and other sneaky quick, forest friends.
The apples are finished, when we left the trees were weighed down by fruit, now, not one remains, not even evidence
upon the ground.
To my strangely OVER the top joy, the tomato’s have hung steady upon their vines, only a few
dropped while away.
I am ashamed
to confess that my unwatered and tended seedlings, did not make it through the 3
week abandoning...
Which is a slight bother, now that India has been postponed, on
account of my reluctance to take children into searing heat, humidity
and monsoonal rains-
Queensland was enough heat and water for awhile.
Anyway the Himalayan beauty peaks in Winter...
Seasons greetings...
Lovely photos. I also love the name Autumn. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour children make me smile. I just love their energy and your boy looks so sweet in this last pic. What a cutie...
ReplyDeleteHi, what lovely colours on those leaves. I saw that you left a comment on my blog but it has disappeared somewhere. I don't live in the mountains anymore I am out near Mudgee, but it would have been nice to connect up :(
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you and your beautiful family.
