The road to the farm meanders through picturesque pastures,
dramatic cliffs and treed mountains, when it rains the creeks roar and the
waterfall shatters the tranquility in a prana shower of element. Everyone who
lives here has come to be in natures wildness.
Bush animals are in abundance; wombats and echidnas, emus and
rock wallabies. Some folk get around by horse, others putt down the road
in homemade bio-fueled lawnmowers. Here the fields change colour with the
seasons and right now they are green with the late summer growth.
This land has seen countless spiritual and health seekers,
hippie dreamers and earthy country folk. It has been a haven for over 45 years
and boasts the visits of wondrous swamis, lamas, traditional elders and
teachers.
Oh the stories I could tell you, in which I always meant to
write down, and one day shall... but right now there is the spinning of a
gentle tale, somewhat less dramatic then those of helicoptered gurus, angora goat herders, naked permaculture gardeners, bee houses and Buddhist
retreats, it is of a lovingly tended completely organic garlic harvest, that is
just about ready for the market.
The peasant in me relishes this abundant time and although
I am not amongst the activity this year, I am keenly interested in the progress. And without a contrived atom of effort, I humbly suggest that if you need your garlic organic, as you know what's in and on and been done to the alternative, than ONTOs farm
is Australia's most well intended, happiest growers of high vibed organic garlic you
will find.
And so after a wee bit of thought and disregard for the notion
that I am by no means ready for it, I shall open the faery door to the Goblin
market. Where the sweet hustle of others can be done on my
floor. First in at the gate wearing a rainbow beanie and holding
their yoga mats is ONTOs farm that will give... 10% off when mentioning faerymother in your order!
Farmers Fred and Neroli's enlightened attitude has always inspired me, their approach to everything is nature happy, people happy, community and quality based.
They are lovely people truly!
Also see the post I did last year about the harvest here.

Sounds like a wonderful place, wonderful people and wonderful garlic.xxx
